Description
Something's in the water.
What is that?
She did not mean to tip the ferry over when she breached suddenly. The ferry heading to Liberty Island, it lifted vertically then turned all the way upside down with a thunderous watery crash. Tourists and crew members were flown from the decks as the vessel sailed through the air. She was careful not to reveal herself to the tourists and crewmen. The terrified people were taken down below the depths and came back up at the shore of Liberty Island, the people described that they were grabbed by something and pulled under by some gigantic hand. Skeptics believed that it was imaginary and what they actually encountered was strong currents. People did see something however, something that looked like a blue whale, but bigger. As other tourists swam toward the shore of Liberty Island a great blue hump vanished below the surface. Something big, very big had dived. The Mermaid spotted a man who was getting further and further away from the surface. He was panicking with bursts of bubbles coming from his mouth and nostrils. The Mermaid dove down to retrieve him as he lost consciousness. As his vision became more blurry he saw a very large creature come out from the blue. The last thing he saw before he passed out was a huge beautiful face. Then darkness. The Mermaid’s hand came over and she took him in her grasp. When the man came to he was on a dock, when he turned his head he saw a large tail disappear below the depths.
The Giant Mermaid edit was made on the 5th. This edit literally took not shitting you 5 and a half hours to create. I was worried that it would be in Creation Hell while The Wake and The Incident had already been released with other edits that had come after them. I have always wanted to see a giantess mermaid in a live action form. I did indeed modify Phoebe Tonkin’s character Cleo Sertori from H2O: Just Add Water three of her images were tried out but I really didn’t like the results. I first got the idea and inspiration last year from an old legend. The edit was inspired by the medieval Celtic passage from Annals of the Four Masters. Only a few actresses were considered for the role of this giant aquatic heroine. The only thing that I’m disappointed about is that the Mermaid isn’t to scale. I wanted to have the man be about slightly taller than her fist, but editing looked way too pixelated, then with remastering and enhancing it looked worse, so then I tried another way. The results look good and decent and the ferry looks like it’s in the distance; that was exactly what I wanted! There was originally going to be three images all together, the last one The Reveal, plans change.
