Wow...Alexei looks so big in this pic! I'm so used to seeing pics of him as a little boy it feels weird seeing him when he was older. (He was killed a few weeks before his fourteenth birthday, so he must have been going through puberty by then.) I bet if he had lived to adulthood, he would have been taller than Nicholas!

I'm surprised they'd let Alexei use a saw, considering he had hemophilia.

Yes,the reason is because he like to exercise and he not have anything to do in the Siberia on the winter.He like to do very often with members of his companions.I hope I explain..))
