Blue ink. 12/17/23. Just recently learned of the story behind Ishmael. I only knew the name before...

I'm not religious, but the story (a half-Egyptian boy in the Arabian desert wilderness who learned the bow) inspired me to do this.

(The other two characters: his mother, Hagar, who got them lost (?) on the way back to Egypt, after Abraham and Sarah sent them away; so, she's lamenting getting them lost and running out of water. And Ismael's father, whoever he really was, is opposite her.)
