This is the classic example of an ancient 'breed' of ships being re-fitted to serve in battle once more. Additional armor plating and a pair of heavy MACs have been added, but the best addition to the design was the Apocalypse missile launch bay. They are arguably amongst the most powerful of the UNSC's weapons, their nuclear warheads capable of taking down ennemy shields and vessels in a twelve-kilometres wide zone. Motorisation has also been reviewed, with a pair of ion-flux engines added to the engine block. This provides a ship with serious firepower and good mobility, but the nine Apocalypse missiles stored within mean that unless all of them have been launched, they are a potential hazard to the fleet if in close formation.
