Bio:
Maverick was a part of a litter of seven, bred directly into Cypher with the goal of making an elite weapon for their cause. Since birth, the houndours were trained extensively and treated with aggression and force that wiped them into the perfect beings. Out of the entire litter, only two survived it all, Maverick and his brother. When they reached a proper age, the two were split apart to continue the brutal training. There were so many days where Maverick was forced to fight for his life. Being pitted against stronger pokemon who did not go easy on him simply because he was a pup. He was bruised and battered in every fight until he finally learned to fight back.
Immediately, he began to show progress. Hyper Mode had been unlocked and Maverick tore through every aggressor that came his way. Fear will make a pokemon strong, and fear was Maverick's only ally in those training rings. His strength soon became unmatched, despite his young age, but he was unhinged- aggressive- attack any thing and everything in his sight. Cipher didn't want to lose such a strong weapon, but without obedience, there was no hope in using him. Luckily, his species were a perfect duo of pokemon who can obey their trainer. Growlithe's were known for their loyalty and strong partnerships with their trainers. Houndours needed a bit more work, only obeying to someone they deem strong- and Maverick, now in this state of constant fight, simply needed someone strong enough to subdue him.
Trainer after trainer attempted to take on Maverick as their partners, but each of them failed to get him under control. He a danger to all around him, and no one wanted to lose their life like the one unlucky general who thought they had what it took. But finally a worthy Trainer came. An aspiring leader within that precinct of Cipher. Just like Maverick, he's become quite a known figure for his ability to conquer many opposers against Cipher. And he was looking for a strong partner to be by his side. Maverick didn't accept him at first- just like all the others- but this soldier was persistent, fighting back until he managed to wrestle the beast into the ground. In that moment, Maverick knew he had lost and accepted the fate. As he was held down, unable to breathe, he had believed it was all over. Peace was finally closing in. But he wasn't so lucky. Under his new leader, his painful aggression continued to burn.
Together, the duo climbed the ranks in that precinct, then the ranks of the main base of Cipher itself, being placed on the front lines of many battles. He had fought the heroes before, but in those battles, there was never a clear winner- he was always forced to retreat by order of his trainer, but never would he have expected their final battle to be the change of everything. Fierce as it was, Maverick was outnumbered, he couldn't fight back, and Cipher had fallen. He and his trainer were arrested, his days of fighting over. All that was left was life in a cell. He wished he could lie there and let it all end, but the fight in him refused to die, and the guards of the prison feared approaching him, or else they risked harm. He didn't know how long he remained in that cell.. days... weeks.... months? It truly didn't matter. He was willing to rot there. But it all faded to black after a sharp pain entered his side. A tranquilizer. When he woke up, there was a tight feeling on his tail, and a new dark room.. He had been shipped to Citadark, an Isle of Reformation... How insulting... He looked out of his new room and could see dozens of Shadow 'mon simply... existing.. none of them seemed to remember the cause they fought for- it angered him. And then, to see the Admins.. the "heroes" who brought him down, he then knew. This place wasn't his sanctuary.. it was simply a new prison. And he was not going to let it break him.
