"Pestilence is a tricky Stryx. She can be incredibly obstinate, and if prone to bouts of violence. There is a myth that's spread through this area about her due to the visitors that come here to The Circus. According to them, she was hatched in that old Quarantine zone over there, in the middle of a mass grave of people who had died from disease. Their rotting corpses kept her egg warm and she was hatched under a harvest moon. That is not the case at all though, she was hatched here at The Circus in a warm, dry nest. No dead people or disease to be found - this is a very clean establishment. It is strange though, a few minutes after opening her eyes she started screeching and scratching at them like she had looked at something extremely painful. Before we could stop her, she had blinded herself. Its a shame really, she had the most gorgeous amber eyes. They eventually turned the milky white color they are now, but I do see a small sheen of color every now and again. Sometimes its blue, sometimes gold, sometimes purple. She also seems to focus on something every once in a while, its very strange to see on a Stryx that is supposed to be blind.

But you never know, maybe the blind can see something that we all don't."

I tried to combine the Monthly Prompt with this Nokt tribute :'D Idk if that's allowed or not. I tried to make Nokt as more of a semi-corporeal being made up of the night sky.
Theres also a reference to the Secret of Nymh, mainly with the ribbons lol. You know which character I'm thinking of?
