I'll try it correct any mistakes... if I have time (yay for perfect pitch, even if it's not 100% accurate yet. Relative pitch works better anyway.)
Lol no one (except some weird people) likes practicing piano. I agree with the relaxing part though... it's not like you have to think a lot while playing... especially if you know the piece well. (Practicing is tiring, I'd rather sleep. Most things are tiring...)
So, for how long have you been playing, what are you playing... you know, all those questions that everyone asks...
Huh, school tomorrow. 5 hours of boredom...

huh, I don't practice piano like a madman (everyone else seems to...) in fact, I don't practice much 'cause my piano teacher is chill and isn't so strict.
I just play random songs from the repertoire & studies books that my teacher tells me to because I have to =_= (for the exam)
and ofc, the terrible horrible technical requirements, scales and blah oAo;
I'm gr 9 in piano...
My parents said once I pass the gr 10 exam, I can quit (YESSSSS!) well, quit going to lessons and I can just play whatever I want.
ugh, and I also have to take the music theory exams and stuff to be able to get the certificate for gr 10 piano =_=
gotta take Gr. 3 and 4 Harmony and History
I already finished both Harmonies and Gr 3. History
Just got Gr. 4 History to go and I can stop worrying about the Music Theories
Man, those exams are hard. I heard that they're actually University courses...
which makes me wonder...
WTF WHY ARE KIDS TAKING THESE EXAMS THEN?! =___=

I have no clue what grades are (never been to Canada)... but I'm assuming it's like in America, where there are 10 lvs and every year is supposed to be a lv. I don't really remember. In France it's pretty complicated but I guess that it's about the same thing. So I'm about your lv in piano (I stayed ~ the same lv for like... 3 years. Because I hardly practiced. I stopped this year, might take it back next year) And in violin I'm around... lv 14. Normally I would have passed that but they didn't want me to leave the conservatory too quickly... or give me my diploma... (it didn't help that I suck at music theory stuff. Seriously, I hate those musical dictation things. Don't know what they're called.) so I'm still in my 13th year or something.
My mom wants me to be a doctor AND a world famous violinist. I think she's crazy. It's probably possible to do... but I'd have to spend way too long... too lazy.
How much is "practicing like a madman"? More than 2 hours right? That's what my violin teacher wants me to do. Minimum.

haha, I heard people who practice 2~3 hours...
I can't even practice 30 minutes straight without getting bored, GOTTA HAVE BREAKS
once I heard a teacher yelling at a student to practice 8 hours a day once Summer Vacation starts o_O WTF
but yea, there are 10 lvls in total and ARCT (performing level) after that (like I'm going to bother doing that)
I'm not gunna be some world famous pianist or anything =_= but knowing piano is just GOOD for you.
haha, thing is I started piano 3 years ago...
and my old teacher liked to skip stuff, which is why I'm at this level in only a matter of 3 years o3o
and wow, lvl 14 violin, omg must be like super pro =3= (but.. I have no clue what the system is in France ~)
Playing an instrument is such serious business...

I managed to train myself to play for an hour without stopping. Afterwards I'm really bored... By now I can tell when 45 minutes are done.
Lol, 8 hours. My mom tried to get me to do that. I sorta ruined her perfect timetable by sleeping too much. Apparently "lots of people in Korea sleep 7 hours per day and study the rest of the time" I can survive on 7 hours but I act really stupidly... and I get apathetic... and pretty much look like a zombie, especially after a few weeks...
I ended up doing 5 hours for the first week of winter vacation. Then my dad came home... I did only 2 hours.
I started at the age of 6 so that's something like 9 years ago.
In France:
3 cycles (for first 10 lvs)
1st cycle (year 1-4)
2nd cycle (5-8)
3rd cycle (9-10) aka cfem (somewhere here in piano...)
After that you pass an exam to get a diploma called CFEM (certificate of musical studies or something)
DEM cycle (11-12) (actually I must be here in violin. Whoops.)
Pass DEM (diploma of musical studies)
After that I think it's COOP or something... cycle of perfecting?
If you pass your DEM at Paris + do some sort of learning thing with another teacher for a year you can become a teacher.
Super pro, I wish! Ok I'm already giving violin lessons...
A good thing about playing the violin is that I'm allowed to go to a special school with special classes... only 5 hours (all morning)

I'm bad at not sleeping. Yeah 7 hours is ok, but I'm already naturally lazy... and I meant from the time you go in bed to waking up. Not actually sleeping. My mom doesn't care about how I sleep as long as I don't sleep during the day.
My mom wants me to succeed in life. She considers "teen-aged days" are unimportant compared to the rest of my life... I think. She kept on telling me I had to go to a good university to get a rich guy from when I was like 5 (wth?).
Lol my life is pretty boring: wake up, get dressed, hide the computer that I'm using in my bed (7 hours = not enough for this reason), eat breakfast, try to spend the most time possible on computer (unless my mom is bugging me about "not wasting my time" and telling me to learn German vocabulary. I try to leave quickly), run/walk to school, go in class, sleep/take notes/do homework/draw during class, go back home, eat lunch & play on the computer, play violin/do whatever I have to do the afternoon, do my homework/play computer, go to bed...
My dad is nice... he's more strict on the sleeping thing though...
Good night... soon~

aww lol g'night XD
well y'know, that doesn't seem so different from my life =3=
School, Eat, Sleep, COMPUTER
yea, I got a lot more freedom than you o_o; (Which is why I'm on the computer practically during all of my free time...)
I'm really glad my parents aren't so strict... o3o

My parents aren't all that bad... compared to some people (*shudders*)
Hey, at least I learned a bunch of stuff. (tries to feel optimistic)
I tried to go on the computers at school... but they didn't work today (no internet). And the librarian hates me. (Maybe I'm just paranoid?)
I'm bored... I'm going to read fanfics!
