No. That song had ended, the dance finished, and she knew the tune that the wind carried her way. No matter how charming, no matter how helpful, she did what she did best. Taking flight on four thoroughbred hooves as condor wings circled overhead. Whether or not he watched the trail of dust she kicked up in the setting sun she cared not. He might as well have grown horns in front of her for the speed she had.

Duke's impressed. Nobody had ever seen through his guise. Not one well-to-do mare, not one hot-headed stallion. He had to wonder what kind of evil she's seen to figure him out so quickly. Then again, that evil probably shouldn't be welcomed into thought.
