i redesigned a few characters from my 2016 pony creator comic. this one is another one of those. can you believe he's the love interest? tall dark stranger in a mysterious sweater???

i'm still unsure if i want to remake it (i was 12 when i made it so the plot is weird, there's no nuance for certain topics and lots of internalized misogyny, also it's unfinished and i can't remember the ending for the life of me and during these 8 years i lost all the notes i made for it). it's silly of me to dedicate my time to such a silly project of this scale. it's one of those plots that can't be adapted into any other universe outside mlp, the special talent mechanics and the defined races play a large role there. i think i'd feel more comfortable doing something this large with original human characters, i would feel better showing it to strangers, a portfolio piece, perhaps. it's sad that i can't let go of a story i wrote in 6th grade, but hey... heal your inner child, i guess.

i really like to make ref sheets like this. i think i'll make a few more of these (misty and peppermint are coming and then i'll have to redesign one complex mean girl and then there's a prince with mechanical wings and i just can't get his design right).
