This photo was taken at a place I volunteered at for two weeks in South Africa.
This leopard's name is Selati. I've been told that leopards can't purr, but Selati did make purring-like noises. She was a normal, not-so-friendly leopard. (I have met a friendly leopard once, though, in Namibia. Her name was Missy Jo and she was adorable.) Selati liked to show off sometimes, she would come to the fence and lay down and start rolling around. Other times, she would just sit in her favorite tree and watch us. She was so beautiful. I really love leopards.
What's really going on here, is that I'm very close to the fence and Selati wants to kill me. Yeah, she's so cute.

Yeah, that sound is so weird! If you didn't know it was a cheetah, you would have never guessed it. At least I wouldn't.

thats funny last night i was watching a documentary on big cats and when the cheetah made that sound she thought it was me making bird sounds
