Yeah, it's more of the latter x3 All in all, you want an Ishaby to grow normally, because they also, instinctively, choose their future loving partner since children and even if tiny they can be a bit yandere, so you don't want them big : P

Exactly, to the point of killing them xD Then they "reset" their affection and look for someone else.  However, to compensate for this, Ishabies end up growing exactly the way their chosen loving partner would want them to be, like skin color, body proportions, personality, etc.
