Thank you for the kind words but i thought that i will be able to do this thumbnails in aΒ  much shorter time and the colors aren”t that similar like on the original photographs....

No one has to know! My finished works hardly ever really, really look just like the reference. You have the freedom of interpretation. A little page of simple faces takes me like three hours, so don't feel bad. Plus if you keep practicing you'll probably get faster!
