George Jetson had one named Rosie Robot.Where is yours?
When I was signing/autographing at the San Diego convention last year, I met a couple there who were big fans of Cyanide & Happiness. The woman was diagnosed with cancer the same day she started reading the comics and for that reason she LOVED the cancer jokes. So she asked me to draw her one. This was that comic.
But of course, somehow people look at this and get offended because it mentions cancer in a way that isn't mourning. For shame.

Cancer shouldn't be something that's viewed as death right off the bat. I battled through cancer myself a couple years back and granted, it's not fun but it's not instant death either. :/

Puh-leaze. I got diagnoed last year and I got a free wacom pad, a fancy printyfaxscancopyjigger and a free Mac OSX. AND I got all the hydrocodone's and oxycodone's I could ask for. Cancer isn't just funny, it's a way to personal happpiness off of others.
Oh, and a 2006 Mercedes-benz c-class. And a King size bed.
If I had been underage during the diagnosis I probably could have got a house.

Well, when I was diagnosed, they didn't think I was going to make it.
Haha, I'm 16 now and diagnosed year and a half ago. Now I get two needles a day and routine blood sugar tests, and if I'm lucky, go to the hospital if doctors think I'm going to explode or something. And I don't live in the USA. If I did, I would have been screwed over for health insurance a looooonnnngggg time ago.

That is retardedly stupid. Have they forgotten that being legaly underage means that technically you still count as a child. Not that you are personally, but considering your age they should have different rules. Perhaps a donation pool should be started? I wonder if it would work, after all people donate crazier stuff on here... It would take a while, but if fellow deviants did contribute, and you managed to save up a little money, after a while you might be able to get one.
You don't get screwed too much on medicaid in the US, but you have to be flat broke to get it, which is where I'm at right now, and was before. I just have nicer stuff now. Stuff I can sell and buy crappier stuff with...like the car...hehehehehe... Seriously, the resale value alone on those suckers can buy several cheap cars, and I only need one to get to and from work. The rest of the money can be used on important stuff, like having a permanent place to live instead of keeping everything in storage and couch-hopping all the time.

This is still one of my very favorite comics...
I have a good number of relatives and friends who have died from cancer, yet things like this far from offend me.
Just ask Dr. Patch Adams... humor heals the soul, and tends to help heal the body, as well. People who laugh actually get better faster.
Hence... humor BELONGS with cancer and other serious conditions.

In my opinion, darker and more depressing things like cancer, need to be looked at in a more lighter mood. It makes people feel better and more people accepting of the situation. I personally would hate it if everyone around me just started being all depressing and sad and what not. I would be like... YEAH! NO! I'm going to do something that is actually fun. XD

I agree. Actually, did you know there are cancer-patient support groups dedicated to laughing about it and finding happy things to talk about? Imagine, all the tears and inspirational stories must get you gloomy after a while.

Well, shit happens. Cancer happens... People have to deal with it and everyone does it in their own way.
Some don't deal with it and kill them selves... Where's the fun in that?
But seriously, if certain comics offend you, just don't read them. THere's all kinds of people making huge commotions about stuff like, OMG he made a joke about cancer or childporn! If they fail to realize that a joke is not always to be taken seriously, fine. Waste your time being offended, fine! But don't bother others who DO like the jokes and try to stop the person from making such comics.
Anyway, never mind. I'm almost about to go ranting all kinds of stuff, but let's just stop here.
