It looks ugly at first sight but seeing it's arms wide open it exudes a beautiful feeling of being loved, as if inviting you to come into it's arms and get a big loving hug in return...weird interpretation I know but that's what seeing your title made me think of

Big loving hug of death ^^ Be careful, it's sensitive especially when someone consider it ugly ^^ If we talk about title, what I mean is that even if you are hard-hit by fate, you can still keep your arms open. It may symbolize the inner state of the spirit, dreams deformed by some outside interference and someone who seems to be unapproachable, introverted, but in fact has really open arms. You may think that someone is inaccessible, don't want to have anything to do with anyone but in reality it's other way around. A bit like the story of Beauty and the Beast or Edward Scissorhands ^^ Such person can have a lot to offer (:
