Name: Hiyomura Megumi (火夜村恵) and Hiyomura Katou (火夜村夭刀) [Their last name means 'village of night fire'; Katou's given name means 'heavenly sword', while Megumi's translates to 'blessing']
Age: 13 years old
DOB: 9th November (Scorpio)
Appearance: Both have lightly tanned skin, sharp-looking eyes, and dark blue hair, with Katou's hair being noticeably bluer. Where Katou's eyes are a dark violet-gray, Megumi's are a dark red. She wears her hair in a short layered cut, with bangs parted on the left and partially covering her right eye, while he wears his hair in a shaggy cut, with the bangs parted in the center. Both wear small gold hoop earrings - Megumi wears hers in her right ear, Katou wears his in his left.
Outfit: When not in the junior high school uniform, Megumi likes to wear a flame-red tank top paired with a leather jacket. She wears black jeans tucked into short dark red boots. Her launcher and bey carrier are deep purple. On the other hand, Katou favors an indigo short-sleeved hoodie layered over a blue-and-black striped shirt, paired with gray pants and indigo sneakers. His launcher and bey carrier are navy blue. Both wear flame-red gloves, and their bey carriers feature studded belts instead of the usual plain one.

Personality: Katou is usually warm and friendly, though there are times when his earnestness makes him act in a brash manner. He opens up easily to others, but he's just as quick to turn his back on someone if they give him reason to distrust them. His competitiveness shows itself through his cold, calculating persona in Beybattles - something that surprises people who don't know about it.
Meanwhile, Megumi is often quiet and aloof, taking time to open up to others; there's practically no one she won't eventually befriend, however. She knows when to speak gently, and when to be more firm, even harsh if needed. Where her brother becomes calculating while in a Beybattle, she reveals her more passionate and energetic side when battling.

Backstory: Born in Manila, Philippines, the Hiyomura twins spent the first three years of their lives in the tropical Southeast-Asian country, relocating to Japan when their father was accepted for a teaching position at his alma mater, with their mother later establishing herself as a reputable family doctor. Several years after, both encountered Beyblading in person when they watched a match at the mall, and they started practicing together soon after receiving Beyblades for their birthday that year. Both went on to enter the regional tournament, facing each other in the finals. Katou emerged the winner, but Megumi earned the right to participate in the nationals after beating all other bladers in her block at the wild card tournament. At the nationals, both were eliminated in the semi-finals, but earned the title of "Spin Emperor" because of their skill.

The next year, they participated in the nationals once more; however, Megumi lost to then-10-year-old Kurenai Shu, while Katou was beaten by Xcalibur user Xhaka.
Currently, Megumi has chosen to take a year off from Beyblade tournaments in order to observe the new Beybladers. Unfortuantely, Katou lost both at the regional tournament and the wild card event, and so watches the national tournament from the sidelines when not honing his Beyblading skills.

Beyblade Soul Appearance: Korrigan appears as a short, stocky and muscular man with pointed ears, long gray-brown hair tied in a half-ponytail, and a mouth that seems perpetually parted in a wily grin or else a sneer. It wields a staff that's thicker at one end, presumably doubling as a cudgel. It's clad in a dark brown tunic, dark leather boots, and a black cloak, and its aura is deep indigo.

Matagot, on the other hand, appears as a dark-colored fox with an intelligent, almost calculating expression. Thin, light, but sturdy armor covers its chest, belly, and back, and it sports a dark red gem embedded near the collar. Its aura color is a deep flame red.
Element/Theme: Korrigan's element is earth, while Matagot's is shadow.

Special Moves:
Korrigan
- Quake Shoot (クェイクシュート). Katou launches his Bey at an angle to the stadium, enabling it to land high on the slope then move quickly inward in smaller and smaller circles, the momentum building up until it slams into the opposing Bey.
- Rising Shoot (ライジングシュート). Katou launches Korrigan into the center just where it meets the slope of the stadium, causing it to speed up the slope and collide with the opponent, forcing it up and out of the stadium.

Matagot
- Barrier Break (バリアーブレイク). Megumi launches her Bey directly at the spot where she perceives the opponent will be, to try and knock it out immediately. Otherwise, Matagot tails its opponent and keeps it from mounting an effective defense, eventually landing a powerful attack.

Somehow Megumi still ended up connected to a fox xD; according to myth, a matador usually takes the form of a cat, but other forms are possible, including vulpine ones.

Katou, on the other hand, ended up with a completely different Beyblade soul.
