Mary raised her head slowly.
A warm golden light had fallen all over the sky.
She felt a light warm breeze caressing her face, her white veil and her silk dress; and it was, she could have sworn it, not earthly. It could not be a dream - dreams were not as real as this angel, who she now saw descending from the golden sky.
Then the angel spoke to her.
"Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you."

Reminds me of my History of Art teacher, when she showed us a painting of Mary and Gabriel (I think it was him) and she was reading the Bible. And then the teacher reminds us how Gutenberg would only be born some fourteen centuries later. x3
BUT! That doesn't make your art any less scandalously beautiful! 8D I have to tell you -- I loooove the hands you draw. I have a thing for well-drawn hands (for they're my most obvious weakness since I started drawing). And your painting skills are just -- wow! I don't even know what to say. You own the internets, or something like that.
(Oh, and I just read your "rant" on your journal. Man, people think only because you color on the computer, you don't have to WORK on it and put your damn heart in it. Ugh. The nerve of that jerk. He must be bitter because he can't use photoshop to save his soul.)

Cool! I don't see much in the way of sacred art these days, especially not anything with a different or unique look to it. I like this. It has a lovely, gentle atmosphere.
