I think I was going 25mph actually hahaha. I kept the shutter opened for 8 seconds, that's why you see the crazy blur-motion through the windshield. I need to update this shot. I can do this better!

As a Star Wars nut, I have to say I enjoy this jump to hyperspace. Even if you're technically ground-bound. Now all you need is a pretty princess girlfriend in a metal bikini to drive around with.

Hmm, times do seem to have changed in this regard. Used to be in the conventions of me youth it was just a bunch of guys. Boring!! So I stopped going.
But now looking around DA and seeing some very intelligent, attractive women who are also selfprofessed geeks (even some who make very elaborate convention costumes for themselves), perhaps you're right and there's hope for me yet.
Good luck with your own lady; and if she shares your passions for photography and sci-fi, you're already very lucky indeed.
