I remember that morning vividly.We drove from Boulder to Estes Park early in the morning. The drive was lengthy and filled with uphill curves. As soon as we cleared the biggest hill, we began descending to see one of the most epic mountain ranges. It was so cool! We entered Rocky Mountain National Park and our first stop was Sprague Lake. This is a shot I took with my trusty 14-24mm f/2.8 wide angle lens. I hope you like it.

Thank you! I did not unfortunately, because I had to drive from Boulder, but next time I go I will stay in Estes Park for quick access.

If you can, try to camp in Glacier Basin. That's the easiest way to see a Sprague Lake sunrise. It's super busy this time of year though.

I'd like to go back during the summer season for sure. I don't mind crowds, because I usually show up at dawn when there are few people there.
