Fantastic angle. The perspective is stunning. Seems like it would be hard to execute.

this is brilliant. The neverending story is one of my favourite films from when i was a kid. absolutely love this. I think the film is being remade as well. I have the book somewhere as well. . . .

Thanks very much! I hadn't heard about the remake, but you might look into the novel it was based on, too. Its my favorite book and I highly recommend it.

i did try to read it, but got sidetracked lol i'll def give it another go. I think the remake will be most based on the novel than a remake of the film. Looking forward to it!

It's been a pretty long time since I saw The Never Ending Story, so I can't really speak much for most of the picture's accuracy, although I'm pretty sure the dragon looks a lot different. That said, I think the differences here are pretty interesting, to be honest. Injects a lot of your own style and flair into a familiar image, which I think is cool to see in fanart. I like this a lot, regardless. As fanart or as an original piece, it's very well-done, and just generally awesome.

Thanks! I really appreciate the time you took comment. The reason the dragon looks very different is because he's based on the book visuals, in which he's described as being made of fire and light.

Ohhhhhhhhh. I see. I never read the book (didn't even realize there was one). Well done then.

Breathtaking piece! And I love how its your own interpretation. Falkor is magnificent but am not so sure about Gmork.

Ah, thanks. Any other details about the wolf? "not so sure" isn't specific enough to help with future projects, or possible edits.

Hmm....well generally it's just not a traditional view of a werewolf and that's what I would personally prefer. But as you were going for something new and original (at least that's how I interpreted it) then making it more traditional wouldn't be that good an idea.

ahh, but Gmork never was a werewolf. (Although, not an ordinary wolf either) If he was a werewolf, i probably would have approached his rendering differently, true.

No? I thought he was! I have to have to re-read those parts then! Thanks.

I think (without digging up the book) He may have been human in the real world, or another world, that manifested as a wolf in Fantastica. That may be where the werewolf concept stuck.

Not quite, I did preliminary sketches and concept work, then did the art all at once.
