Description
In 2019, I participated in the wonderful artistic event of MerMay, introducing the Marie-Morgane of Ys-Beneath-The-Waves, the most prominent mermaids in Alvez, the world of Kroashent. These lovely ladies are the court of Queen Ahes Dahut, the Stormbringer, and were each drawn from a traditional Dungeons and Dragons class, with a Kroashent twist, each at a different point of the Marie-Morgane's 1000 year history.

The final of the "Main" mermaids was Ghyslaine, the eccentric and enigmatic mage. Magic is a constantly evolving concept in Kroashent, and was especially unpolished at the time of Ghyslaine's creation. There are several schools of magical manipulation, called Arkanes with some variation between them that I will go into in more depth in a future post.
