Background:
Originally from Oregon, Malachi was born in a tiny farming town that was mostly popularized by German immigrants. The town was built upon a hilly area in a valley with beautiful views, and with farms mostly being set upon higher terraces with shops and the main square being set at the heart of the valley.
Unable to take care of him, Malachi's mother gave Malachi up when he was just a year old, entrusting him in the care of a family friend and shepherd. The shepherd lived up on the higher hills, alone aside from his sheep to take care of. He raised Malachi, but was never a father figure to the boy, and was a bit distant. However he did teach Malachi how to herd and take of sheep.
Growing up, what time wasn't spent taking care of sheep was spent exploring the wilds around his home. Malachi's animal form, a black timber wolf, was perfect for this, and Malachi was sure to make use of it. From sharpening his hunting skills (which would prove useful for bringing food home for dinner) to a thick fur coat to get through harsh winters, Malachi made himself home in his second skin. However in the city, one might consider Malachi a little too at home in his second skin, seeing as his human form is never seen.
None the less, Malachi is excited to see the sights of the city, and finally see the ocean! As long as his guardian permits it.
