litel study of a pretty cow picture..... hmm.................. so far i have been making a new page of kikkerdril every day but i can feel its starting to burn me out........ the gg......hmm...its like............. its quantity over quality so i dont know id rather have a bit more quality or somehthing........... dont knw....... so i am giving myself permission to not have to work on it every dayRelated content

it's digital and made in photoshop :-) i get the traditional texture by using a brush with a canvas texture and then amplifying it at the end with a smart sharpen filter! (link to my brushes can be found on my page (old dA page, not eclipse))

I lovE the angular, blocky look to this. The canvas texture just completes it, very satisfying to look at.
And in reference to your workflow, I highly recommend giving yourself a break. No one demands the constant production of art quite like the brain of an artist. Though if you want to continue making art, not of your series, I vote for more studies. These are wonderful <3

I love the chunky brushstrokes and the simple colour shapes in this, it's really effective visual language without being overpowering. the cow in the water is my favourite!!! *_*
you should definitely take a break if you need one! do some other stuff to refresh your art brain and your inspiration. I've been taking walks when I can, reading, writing - anything that helps me step away from the computer screen and makes me think differently.
