The photo of you is well taken. You were sloppy with the composite. Your selection edges along your pants have a strong halo. There is more around your outline, but not as bad by far.
If the bottom half is giving you more grief than the top half, then save the top half, and then save the bottom half separately. Deselect, then load the bottom half. Shrink the selection by enough pixels to eliminate fringe. Then add in the saved top section, quick-fix where they join.
