Description Bobby the Barbarian, and his baby unicorn Uni from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon series, worked in Prismacolor Sienna Brown (945) and Cream (914) on Canson Mi-Teintes paper.

Disclaimer: Dungeons and Dragons, the cartoon, was © TSR/Marvel at the time it aired in the '80's. I'm not entirely sure who owns it now, but I can say for sure, it's definitely not me. I'm just a very longtime fan.

I love it! Really, awesome drawing with great shading.

It´s very rare to find Uni and Bobby together here on DA. It´s a bit sad that Uni wasn´t very popular (more hated), but for me was unbeliavably emotional very strong bond between them.

Thank you so much!

The only problem I ever had with Uni was that her constant bleating did tend to get annoying after a while. Other than that, I too felt she was an important character in the series ... how many times was she the one who saved the day? It was Uni who was able to cut free of Lolth's web, and what about the time she used Presto's Hat to cast a spell when he couldn't? Besides, Bobby needed someone to relate to on his own level. Being with a group of kids who were all so much older than him had to be lonely, in a way. I agree with you - Uni deserves a little more respect than she gets.

That´s very true - terrible voice acting for such sweet thing.
She was little filly, but could really do incredible amount of rescue action. And very dear friend

I often wonder how different Uni would be if she had been allowed to "grow up." A year or two's time makes a huge difference to members of the equine family, so really, she should have been nearly full-grown by the time the series ended.

I think if she had such relationship with Bobby from start of the series, nothing much would change They remember very well people from they youth. But in body grow - that would be something other. She would be muuuuch taller than Bobby Foals grow way too fast

Thanks - Bobby and Uni definitely was the most difficult picture in this series to make come out right. I'm glad you like it!

Bobby in one of his very rare, calm, relaxed moods. Hey, it can happen!
