They have huge magicial powers so they could turn any kind of species when someone met her. Night foxes are extremely rare and rather a spiritual creature, than material ones. Though you can touch them. Nowdays people think they are just a myth, a part of a tale. The legend also says if you treat her right she will be grateful but beware if you enrage the night foxes...
