Description
Birthday present No. 3 of 9 - TF Legacy: Evolution - Voyager Class - Twincast and Autobot Rewind:
Twincast:
Legacy: Evolution Voyager Class Twincast is a redeco and new-head retool of the Kingdom Voyager Blaster as the character's revived form from The Headmasters. He still includes a cassette bot partner, this time being Rewind—who is similarly cast in translucent plastic. He also includes an electro-scrambler rifle, which is the same black coloration included with Blaster and not a toy-accurate red. Unfortunately, unlike the original toy above, his namesakes' cartoon appearance and the Siege/Generations Selects Soundblaster, Twincast doesn't feature a retooled larger cassette door to house more than one cassette.
In a revolutionary move, Twincast's Evo-Fusion ability is… putting the rifle on the back of his radio mode. Genius. Notably, this does not use the special tab originally designed to store the rifle, but rather one of the 5 mm ports on the back, perhaps intended to replicate the look of a radio antenna.
Ben MacCrae introduced Twincast in his Hasbro Pulse stream reveal as "a clone that didn't work out so well for Shockwave as planned." So he'd be this article's topic, right? Right? Look, BMac said it.
Twincast became available at Canadian retail in early February 2023, less than a week after his initial reveal.

Yes, I know, I already have three versions of this particular mold at this point: 1. www.deviantart.com/krytenmarkg… (25/4/22) 2. www.deviantart.com/krytenmarkg… (5/5/24) But honestly, I don't care about that. I really do like the Kingdom Blaster mold, personally speaking, and I've always imagined getting as many versions of said mold as I can. And besides, two big reasons very much came to mind here: 1. My chance to finally have a proper (non Shattered Glass style) Rewind to go alongside his twin Eject. And 2. Because I legitemately like Twincast's colour scheme a great deal. Really do like the new-head retool on Twincast as well, with the smirk in mind. Just imagine how evil SG Blaster would look with such a proper sinister smile going on. All in all, really happy to have this one at last. Always wanted a Twincast figure in my collection, and here he is at long last.
Pretty hard to resist the urge for TF Studio Series 86-25 Blaster & Eject as well, 'cause those particular, more cartoon-like colour schemes, sure do look very nice indeed. ^.^
