Description This is my first custom pony, but I'm planning to make at least four more Zelda ponies.

Hylian Shield was originally Pretty Parasol.

Take a look at my other Zelda ponies; Goron, Deku and Zora

Nice job! I painted the hylian shield on one of my old Link customs, as well.

Deku pony? AWESOME! Look forward to seeing it.
Well, I've made about every Zelda character that interests me (link, zelda, great fairy, Midna's princess form, Agitha, shadow Link, Omni Link and even a crazy red Link XD) and remade a few of them to sell on eBay....so I'm not sure if I'll be making anymore Zelda ponies. (Maybe if someone makes a few requests, I may take one of them into consideration ;~)

You have pictures of all of those on DA? I don't think I've seen all of them. I check it out
I'm more into making the different races and elements than the characters. But that's good, since you made the characters.
Do you have any good ideas how to get the pony's hair to not stand in all directions the way it does right after you've finished it? I've heard about boiling it, but won't that spoil the paint? I've just twisted it between the front legs on this one so you canΓ€t see it, but it really looks like shit.

Ok. This is actually kind of funny; some times people ask if I use hairspray on my customs and my immediate response is "wtf hell no". However, a hair DRYER is how I get my customs' hair to cooperate. ALSO, if you want hair to be bent a specific way, Mod Podge is used.

Hairspray? Never occurred to me... Wonder what would happen if you did.
Hm, not sure we have mod pogde in Sweden, I actually don't really know what it is. But all customizers seem to use it. Is it some kind of glue or rubber? Guess I can order it online...
Haha, I was planning on using my sisters hair straightener. She got it like a week ago for her birthday. we're probably both pretty lucky I changed my mind. I don't know what I was thinking, the hair would have melted for sure...

Think of Mod Podge as a glue-like substance that you paint over a piece of art, as a protective coating. For instance; you make a collage and want the pictures to stay in place, so you slap a coat of Mod Podge over it.

You may have something similar to that in Sweden, but most likely it goes by a different name. If you have any craft stores or art stores (maybe even office supply stores) they may be helpful.

But I wouldn't recommend using hair spray, because hair spray isn't permanent, and could ruin your custom down the line. ;~)
