thanks... the symmetry in this case is a mathematical thing
even=symmetrical odd=asymmetrical

Very interesting, thought before odd could be symmetrical too (of cos you have to cut into halves the one in the middle ) Kidding aside: think a triptych is more symmetrical then a diptych. Hmm, or I wrong (or perhaps my feeling is odd).

i depends...
but in this case the even groups of squares are symmetrical and the odd ones asymmetrical
some images are symmetrical on their own.... others need a reflection
