Man I love how this turned out! I am a HUGE FAN of Joe Mad. I have been looking at his work for years, and I'm always impressed by it. This is also the first pic that I ever posted here on D.A. And to be honest I was always afraid to color it, but I figured what the heck its been some years so why not! Not going to lie inking this in photoshop KICKED MY BUTT LOL! That awesome that you got to coloring the pic for your hero lad and heck you sound pretty damn pumped yourself to be talking about this artist as well as his characters.
Looks like you definitely added alot from your original to where you are now with giving that really nice and gritty comic book feel that it no doubt deserves. And when comparing the two from before you can see alot changes done from especially in terms of the coloring but more then certainly the smaller details that you took so much time to bring to our attention.
For starters just love the way those glowing symbols catch your eyes and they show that neat enchanted feel cast upon the metal. It makes it even neater seeing the way you follow up with that by giving the gems like with the on the left some real notice so you can see both the ominous punch that's incoming but also how astonishing the glove really is.
Next another good slice of awesome where you take time to address the fabrics across each guy from the sash and its waving in the wind with its many folds or the flimsy and tattered look of the bandages for the guy on the right. Neat too that you can see that same level of effort being put into something like the handle of the sword or the epic belt on the left guy and how much it classifies each character with their own unique look and feel.
Could well go on about how effective the lighting is done, the sharp shading done that makes the muscle look even crisper and sharper then before but already I think I've said for how mesmerizing your colors have done to transform this picture from the lines before. You really know your stuff Kskillz and you should be damn proud of that. ^-^

Thanks man I really worked hard on this one. To be honest this has probably been the best coloring work i ever done on a pic. I think i learned more with how to do certain things on this pic than any other. God Bless Youtube bro lol. And I think this pic has given me the confidence to show my work to an artist here at DA who's looking for artist to work with professionally.

Wow that's great news lad and congrats all around to how much more of a pro you'll become with your new coloring methods! I will have to make a strong note to do the same one day and check out some tricks on YouTube and if anything thanks for the info, it does not fall on deaf ears.
