Thanks I blend with either cotton wool, tissue or quite often I use those rubber tipped shaper brushes designed for oils, they work really well blending charcoal and pastels

ohh yea i use that stuff too for blending . but it becomes a little problematic when i use too many layers, do you have that problem too? maybe youre not supposed to layer that much with charcoal

I find if you want to build up a lot of leyers with patel or charcoal it helps to spray fixative after you build up the initial colouring then you can work on top without disturbing the layers of colur you have already put down.

This is really good - I love the coloring. But where did you get tinted charcoals?

They are made by Derwent, available in most art shops here in the UK.

*squeals* Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! XD Orlando Bloom is super hot!!!!!! And I see that you added a lil' spice to him in this portrait. XP I love his eyes. They're gorgeous. But..umm...there's something off about his right eye. I dunno, maybe its because you didn't put any sparkle in it like the one on the left. O_O

Well, his face is still handsome as usual. You did a really excellent painting on this. And his clothing is spectacular. Great job. I see no doubt that anyone shouldn't like Orlando here. This is damn hot!

Hehe thank you very much, I hadn't realised I'd missed the sparkle off his right eye.
