Over the Christmas holiday 2011 we watched a couple of favorite recent Disney movies (it's been too long!), which inspired this piece featuring everyone's favorite New Orleans princess. It was surprisingly difficult to get her face to a point where I was satisfied. She was prettyish in the initial sketch, but she wasn't Tiana. But then I did a little research and made a few adjustments, and there she was. It was also fun to find and work with some new star brushes.Well done with this movie, Disney. I still love it every time as much as I did the first.

You do not design a gorgeous character just for her to spend most of the movie as a frog.

Ha ha, I suppose I am glad to be one of a rare breed, though I would probably say that it's rare only in some circles, especially since most of the actual Disney artists are men.

Fantastic touch with Evangeline and Ray as a star in the corner. Backgrounds are beautiful on this and the Lottie picture. Beautiful job!

I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of Tiana. And the only reason I feel the need to say that is because I think this piece is beautiful. I NEVER fave P&TF art, but I will fave this. Fantastic work.
