we had an art class together in high school me thinks.. she always seemed like she was destined to be fashionable and gorgeous .... plus from what i hear her brother is a total fashion-ista!

Ah, gotcha. When I was talking with her she was talking about starting some sort of fashion magazine with her brother.

I really like the location here. Her desaturated skin is not a great choice, though. The pose and clothing and all are great, but a wee bit of colour in her skin tones would really make the image pop.

I agree. It's tough to stay away from spending too much time in post. I really do wish Lightroom implemented layers, but I don't think they ever would because that's not the 'style' of post work it's intended for.

Dude, where was this taken?
I can't even fathom how you keep one-upping yourself.

Heh.. there's an abandoned house just outside city limits on the northeast end of town. Amazing location. Last time I was shooting there I ran into other people stopping by who are actually possibly putting in a bid to the city to buy the place; which would be sad...

... I actually have that fear. I keeping doing better work, but I'm afraid of ceilings. Things can only get so good? Sure there's always more to learn, but with the pace I've been improving at (so much for modesty) I'm scared I'm going to get in way over my head at some point...

Then its just time for a genre shift if you hit an impenetrable ceiling.
You could try your hand at macro shots, landscapes, nudes, or tilt shifts. There's other ways to go than up, you know!

People, fashion, conceptual and portraiture is what I do best at. Though I may dabble in other things, I think that's what I'm best at. There's always room to grow, lots of inspiration all around. Lots of work oodles above what I've done so far. But I know I'm capable of good things
