Akutech. A decently recognized name. It was the science laboratory run by Akuno Meisei herself, known for conducting extreme experiments and projects that would be considered nothing more than science fiction. What many people didn't know, however, was the relationship between Akuno... and her daughter.

Even with all the scientific knowledge and power she had, Akuno was by no means a good mother. With her looks and wealth, it wasn't hard at all to find a love. Unfortunately, even though the man's love was genuine, Akuno was only looking for someone to have a child with, demanding to her partner that the child take her last name. The man agreed, and Akuno's plan to continue the Meisei name was a success.

After the child was born, Akuno told the man everything, how she didn't care for him whatsoever and just wanted him to make a child with, even seeing herself as "above" him due to her wealth and beauty. Surprisingly, he wasn't angry at all. He did as she ordered, leaving to live on his own and out of her life.

When Akuno realized her child was a girl, she named her Akuta. Although, she wasn't excited about having a child. After all, she saw herself as a higher-up, with the child's purpose only being to continue the Meisei name, and thinking that the child should be honored to have Akuno Meisei herself as her mother. She reluctantly took care of the newborn until she was a toddler, and then with each day began to spend less and less time with her.

Because of this, Akuta never learned many valuable, important traits that would normally be taught by parents. She never learned manners or respect. Luckily, with her mother being the head of a huge science laboratory, her days were almost always spent there. Wandering around the building, even sleeping and eating there and treating it as her home. She would often look around at all the current projects and experiments, and became interested. All the scientists and other employees there knew the situation with her, so despite Akuno not giving her any love, they all did. They even taught her some of the important traits that should've been taught by her parents.

Of course, they all felt bad for her. They treated her specially, wanting to make up for the horrible family situation she had. Eventually though, Akuta decided she wanted to try and connect with her own mother. However, this did not go as planned. Akuno didn't feel the same way, and she made that very clear. Knowing this, Akuta was now filled with anger and frustration. She went from being a naive, curious girl, to being judgmental, self-centered and emotional. The scientists could tell what she was going through, and did all they could to try and help her. Although they made her feel better at times, her feelings always returned.

One day, she saw a boxing match on the TV. Having watched the whole match in curiosity, she figured that maybe she needed a more physical approach to dealing with her stress. Going to the nearby gym, Akuta started training in boxing. She could already tell it was making her feel much better, putting on the gloves and pounding the punching bag, each hit filled with her stress and emotions that she was letting out. The gym soon became like a second home to her, going there whenever she wanted fun outside the lab.

After taking on some actual opponents, and beating most of them, Akuta realized she could end her bad relationship with her mother forever. The way she saw it, her mother didn't want to waste time with her because she saw herself as more important due to her position, being the owner of Akutech. She figured now that she was getting good at boxing, she could go professional and prove to her mother that she's worth something. Shortly after, there was a female boxing tournament coming up. Akuta signed up and trained like there was no tomorrow, determined to win and have her mother see for herself.

Akuta researched all the other fighters, and made her way to the finals. During the intermission before the final match, Akuta ran back to the lab and barged into her mother's office, earning a hard slap on the cheek from her. She didn't even care. She looked Akuno right in the eyes and explained to her what was happening, demanding that she come watch the final match so she could see her win and realize she's not useless after all. Akuno laughed and accepted, and Akuta made her way back to the gym with Akuno following a couple minutes later.

Going up against Akuta in the finals was Yusha Sento. Akuta knew her from the research. Apparently, she was a professional wrestler who was new to boxing. For a wrestler, Akuta was expecting a lot more than the short redhead she was facing. She felt confident, knowing she would destroy this small fighter and claim victory, with her mother in the audience to see it firsthand. Soon, the match started. It was already one-sided in Akuta's favor, just like the others. All that training had paid off. Akuta was dominating Yusha.

After all the beating and teasing, the small little redhead fell to the mat, barely conscious. Akuta was practically celebrating her victory already, but much to her and everyone else's surprise... Yusha got up. Yusha was determined to show Akuta what for, and she wasn't going down that easy. Surprised by Yusha's return, Akuta found herself the victim of a dangerous combo of attacks, taking each hit and unable to fight back. Yusha delivered one final blow that knocked Akuta to the mat, and she was unable to get back up...

The audience cheered as the bell rang to declare Yusha's victory, her friends running into the ring to hug her and carry her out, her girlfriend kissing her as they left. Akuta however, lied on the mat. Akuno didn't approach her until everyone else had left, and she had a stern look on her face. Akuta did her best, but it wasn't enough. Akuno simply reminded Akuta of how big a disappointment she was to her, telling her that she knew from the start she wouldn't be able to do it. She lifted her beaten daughter up before exiting by herself.

Akuta stood in the ring, staring in silence for a minute or two, even though it felt a lot longer to her. She was filled with more stress and rage than ever before. Her one chance to prove to her mother she was worth something, and that small, annoying little redhead had to come and ruin it. She wanted to throw and punch everything in sight to deal with her anger, but she was too exhausted from her loss. She simply fell back to sit down, curling her head into her knees and crying. She wanted revenge more than anything. No care, no respect, no love... just anger.

Love was all she needed to change, just caring love, but who would show that to such a disrespectful girl?

She would have to keep searching...

Okay, so... I meant to write this a LONG time ago. Unfortunately, I kept pushing it back more and more. But now, it's finally here! Akuta's origin story! She's definitely had a rough past, poor Akuta... anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! I'm starting to love writing stories more and more with each one I write, and i feel I'm getting better at writing too! I'll try to write an origin story for most, if not all of my OCs, so there's more to come!
