This is an awesome expression. I love how detailed and realistic the shading and details are, but the character itself is so hyper-realistic.

Thanks, this was one of my first, so i guess i could have pushed the shadows a little bit further now that i look at it, overall its very midtone-ish.

Interesting! I love how strange and distorted the face is. I know this is probably weird, but the fish-hook made me laugh. It's such a clever way to explain why the face is like that.
The only thing that would make this drawing better is more details. I like how the eyebrows and eyes have distinct lines that haven't been smudged. I wish the teeth and lips had sharper details like that, too...but that can be really hard to do when you're using such dark pencils.

yeah, this was probably my first "more serious" drawing, and i didnt knew how to properly shade so i used to just smudge everything ( god -.-')and actually when i posted that drawing on your forum thread i felt like doing something better ( something like that w/ proper shading) and i am working on it right now ahah

Very macabre, reminds me of the time I hooked my dad's eyelid when casting for fish. I think the sublte use of smudging used to enhance the consistency of shadows works here. Good job!

I love the idea behind this piece, and it's quite striking! The proportions are weird, in a good way, and I love how it's slightly lopsided. Only thing I could suggest is sharpening the lines and shading. Make the blending a bit sharper in aprts, rather than having it all blended together, and keep your lines crisp. Focus more on the details, like the hairs in the eyebrow, and the soft lines between the teeth. (Crisp lines again). But all and all, I REALLY like it! Kudos, keep it up!
