Honestly, I think itβs because American Dad isnβt terrified of continuity and deviating from the status quo. No matter what Family Guy does, they always have to go back to how they began at the end of the episode, like nothing happened. Meanwhile, American Dad likes to shake things up, bring back old characters, or introduce new ones, like with Rogu or James Garfield.
