Jade, Jadeite, Nephrite Trivia: Jade, Jadeite, and Nephrite are based on my OC's Jade, Jadeite, and Nephrite!
Jade is based a little on Sun Wukong. Jadeite is based a little on Nezha. They're both mythical characters in China, but they're also a big part of my childhood. Here is the theme songs for the Journey to the West cartoon and here is the theme song for the Legend of Nezha cartoon.
BONUS: Overly Sarcastic Productions on YouTube has a great ongoing series summarizing Sun Wukong's antics !
DOUBLE BONUS: Goku from Dragon Ball is based on Sun Wukong! Many Japanese things, such as certain myths, have evolved from China.
Moonstone Trivia: Moonstone is based on Chang'e and the rabbits living with her on the moon.
Overly Sarcastic Productions has done a video on this , as has Off the Great Wall ! There is a romantic version and a less so romantic version, but the former is definitely more popular and is why China celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival and thus eat delicious mooncakes. You should try one sometime if you've never done so!
Lapis Trivia: Lapis is evidently based on a Chinese dragon, since they generally live in the ocean and control water/rain.
Both Sun Wukong and Nezha are known for terrorizing the dragons, but especially Nezha .
The really cute Chinese anime (donghua) Non-human《非人哉》which stars Chinese gods in the modern world, has a really cute/funny scene where the horse (who is actually a dragon prince) of Xuanzhang (the monk from Xi You Ji) meets Nezha haha. English subs can be found here .
Emerald Trivia: Emerald is wearing a traditional Chinese hanfu with a traditional winter cloak. You can find out more about traditional, ancient Chinese hanfu on ziseviolet's Tumblr blog! Their blog tag doupeng or the tag winter wear showcase cloaks like this one, and here's a few specific photosets that look super pretty: cloak photoset 1 , cloak photoset 2 , cloak photoset 3 .
Peridot Trivia: Peridot is based on Chinese technology. And you know, FUN FACT: China currently does not really use paper money anymore. They mostly use AliPay and WeChat, which allows you to pay BY PHONE. Mamahuhu on YouTube has done a video on this here called "Beyond Cashless" (they've also recently done a fun video on tourism in Shanghai here !)
Pyrite Trivia: Pyrite is based on an infamous Chinese female pirate (hehe pun intended—especially since Pyrite is aka Fool's Gold), perhaps the most notorious in the world! Her name was Ching Shih aka Cheng I Sao.

Yeah, I wanted to adopt her, still, I was wondering if you could make some changes, I kinda wanted to have two poses of her, one being the one on the adopt sheet, and the other one being her standing forward, so her front side can be seen, I wanted to know how this would affect the price before I take the final decision.

I'm more than happy to do that! Drawing her front side would be considered as a commission/add-on, so I can do that for an additional $8 (so it'd come to $20). If that price is a bit high, I'm willing to negotiate lowering it. ^^

Actually, classes end on April 9 and my exams start April 24, so I'll be studying in between. This means I actually can get your commission done by April 17, as long as I start it closer to April 9 so I still have time to study in the later days.

Ok so, this is what I got in mind:
Once, Emerald served Homeworld, like other Emeralds she was a captain with a ship and a crew, she liked her current life and status within Homeworld's society, but everything changed after the Gem War on Earth, somehow her ship didn't managed to get out of range from the corruption attack, knocing it off and making it crash into a part of Earth, they didn't got corrupted fortunately, but the ship's engine and the communication devices didn't work anymore, they thought Homeworld would come back to rescue them, but no one came...
A feel of betrayal and hatred grew within Emerald's being, after all she and her crew had done for Homeworld and this is how they payed them? No...she wouldn't ket them get away with it, she swore revenge against Homeworld and The Diamonds, one day, they would find a way to return to Homeworld, and they would make them pay for leaving them behind.
Now, arter years of remaining hidden in the region of Earth that became China, they are making a lot of progress repairing and upgrading their ship, so The Diamonds won't be a match for them.

I'm glad you liked it, and well I kinda had the idea that Emeral and her crew used humans as slaves to repair their ship around the time before the Imperial China, sorry if I got it wrong, I wish I could know more about China's history to make the story more accurate in detail when it come to time placement.
