Title is random, 'cause I don't really know HOW I came up with the idea for this picture. XD It was an assignment in school, for our Graphic communication class, we were supposed to make something that showed how we picture...life. Or something, I'm no good at explaining, but yeah. XD "Life" was the assignment.I suck at drawing old people, I know that now. XD I think the kid turned out the best, the baby and the teenager turned out pretty good too. I don't like the pose of the grown-up, but it's okay.
[Edit] Okay, some explanations:
The baby is in a balloon, like the womb of a mother.
The kid is wired in the red... rope, 'cause he's protected by people around him, or something. And the butterfly is random and kinda signifies the kid's unawareness of life and death.
The teenager holds the rope kinda sloppy, 'cause lots of teenagers nowadays are depressed and kinda wants to die and stuff...though he isn't really EMO, he's just... really-not-impressed by life. *lewl* And also, he's looking down 'cause he wants to grow up so he can do stuff he can't when he's young.
The grown-up is grabbing the rope tightly 'cause he doesn't want to get old and die, and he's looking up 'cause he misses his childhood and stuff.
The old guy is hanged in the rope, 'cause he's kinda waiting/wanting/about to die.
And then the end is the ashes. [/Edit]

Oh please don't be sorry. Your art is great by the way. It's just the ballon with the baby in it that's been freaking him out. His dreams is that if we have a baby it will be in a ballon and I'll be floating all the time while I'm pregnant. I find it funny.

Floating In The Clouds

Floating in a balloon we grow and play
into a new world, we are born the next day
Then as a child, we roam having fun
not knowing what is yet,,,, yet to come
A few years later and we're trapped as a teen
in a place known as high-school. Lonely and mean.
Further down the string, as an adult we grow
places to see, things we must know.
But at the end, around our throats
the strings wrapped tight, as we continue to float.

The way this flows from one stage of life to another is absolutely beautiful. I especially like the adult stage. It's almost like he's looking up to what was and wants to go back.
