Description Heyo guys, KumaMask here!

...Aaaand, we're back to the blue. But then again, this was a drawing I had been wanting to do for an awfully long time, so screw colour variations, I felt like this message was necessary at this moment and it is an "old" plan. So whatever! Whatever! Bone rush on all these silly worries!

*sigh*

Ok, enough of playing.

Something about this pokémon positivity series is that... Man, I try to make messages for all sorts of people. For everyone who needs little reminders like this one. Oh, oh, before I forget, something important: screw, I'm not making this for the sake of that "boys don't cry" thing, no. This is not something I've made because of that quote. Not that I agree with that saying either, but don't take this the wrong way.

This is a message for all those who need it, regardless of age, gender, whatever.

I've met countless people throughout my life that firmly believed that not crying no matter how hurt you feel, not showing emotions, being silent/mysterious etc. was a cool thing or a synonym for strength. urgh.   And... Ok, I've accidentally entered a "polemic" topic again and I'll talk a lot here, so please, listen to me and try to keep up with my logic. Or just ignore everything and read the bold and italic parts, that also might do.
Anyway, what I was saying is that many people have this belief, and... It is not right...? Of course you don't have to start crying every single time you see a dead bug when you're walking down the street or every time you feel a bit sad, no, NO. Don't be a crybaby. (crying at movies and games or music is still perfectly fine, tho (also, if you are a crybaby who am I to judge you) What I mean is that...

Crying when you're sad is ok. Crying when you're upset is ok. Crying out of frustration is ok. Crying out of fear is ok. Being sensible is ok.

Crying is a natural reaction of our bodies to things that affect us in various ways, and even though not doing it may reflect some psychological strength, you don't have to be a robot. You don't have to be a silent knight, all mighty, brave, mysterious and dark, a soul which light cannot reach deep enough to show its deepest parts, NO. NO. Don't do it. Being like this is harmful for you.

People like this are usually the ones who suffer the most. Some people have been through so much suffering, and one that's so intense, that their hearts become like stone. And they don't cry not because they chose not to do it, but because life shaped them in a way that they just don't even feel like crying on some situations. Some of them don't even have stone hearts, but they just suffered so much throughout their lives that they learned how to deal with certain situations without crying. There are even people who are naturally a bit cold. But these are exceptions.
A great part of us, luckily, didn't have to go through such extreme situations like this, so it's perfectly normal that we are a bit more fragile.

Strength, as well as love, comes in various shapes.

As probably many people won't believe me/didn't quite understand what I meant, allow me to explain, little shrimp.

I've seen people who could deal with so many tasks without going crazy. Like, I really mean A LOT of stuff to do. For example... You know Mayim Balik? The actress who made Amy Farah Fowler? Big Bang Theory? You know her? Welp. Mom, musician, neuroscientist, actress. She is all of these at the same goddamn time. Now, tell me that's easy and tell me she doesn't have a lot of inner strength.
Another example.
Firefighters. They gotta be the combination of both physical and psychological strength.
Doctors. Do you even know just how much shit they have to go through?
Athletes. They HAVE to be physically strong and resistent in uncountable ways depending on which kind of athlete they are.

And now, something a bit more close to a majority:

Students. As we all know, most of the educational systems all around the world aren't actually... The best, you know what I mean? Anyway. Now, let's see, children and adolescents have to deal with crappy teachers, bullying, bad influences (including drugs, etc.), insane schedules, ridiculous amounts of homework, LOTS of pressure because of grades, entering a nice college, etc. I know some adults are still students as well, but the point is: A child or adolescent usually don't have enough maturity to deal with all this shit they're put through. And from as far as I've seen, not many received actual guidance.

A true friend. A true friend will be with you no matter what, for both happy and sad times. Easy or hard. No matter what, that person will be there for you, and that's also a form of strength. Sometimes, a true friend will put their own problems aside to take care of you and your problems. That's a way to be strong. And siblings can be true friends. Parents. Grandparents. Cousins. Internet friends. But then again, this is more of a strength directly related to love.

Now you see?

Many ways to be strong.

And none of them require you to be a stone.

Now that stop to remember, I've once read in a manga, I believe it was something on Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, said by Fye: "Crying when you need to is also a form of strength."

Do you understand it?

Sometimes, we gotta open our hearts and let someone in. Sometimes we gotta open our hearts and let something go. Not crying is a way of being strong, yes. As long as you understand that crying is important as well. If you need to cry, do it. That doesn't make you weak.

And now, why I chose lucario for this one.  After all this huge speech, I guess it is pretty clear why.

Messages for strong people are coming, guys.

Just wait for them~

I am glad to see that people do understand this important fact: emotions are a great strength not a weakness.
A beautifully worded explanation to compliment an effective picture, I love it. Thank you for sharing this, it made me feel that hope is still alive in our troubled world.

Everyone who reads this, please, share this message to everyone on every format.

We have the ability to change lives for the better, despite what the world does.

This brings back memories of when I was in 5th Grade.

I used to get judged because I cried in class and out at recess, and sometimes it still happens! But as the year went on that came to a stop... mostly.

O A O

Oh, dear... Such things get better with time, and people usually become more caring and comprehensive towards us as time passes! But there's nothing wrong with crying. Also, if you ever need to talk, I'm here to listen to you! ó w ò

I don't mean to be rude, but do you have a picture that can help people with depression
My friend is really going N through a bad time and she likes Pokemon.
Is there a picture I can show her here?

Helo, dear! Thank  you so much for this wonderful feedback! I believe I might have something, but it's up to you to see if you find one that fits her. I'm currently trying to make more drawings for this series, so I hope I can make something that helps her!

I got called a crybaby throughout my childhood. It's horrible how people have it sometimes pounded into them to suppress their emotions. We need to learn to know them intimately. I really like this drawing and message. Only one with a broken heart can be a true warrior.

KumaMask In reply to brentken [2016-02-24 04:42:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh, man... Yea... I really understand you on that one. And you're totally right! Also, it's so good to see you actually learned from all these bad times. It's really good, because.. Well, we shouldn't let our past define or defeat us. Also, thank you so much for leaving such a nice comment here! Your feedback is really really really appreciated!

Aww this is beautiful. Ha, I feel this message on like a spiritual level. I'm a huge crybaby, although I thankfully don't cry as much as I used to. Crying A LOT is a weakness. People have to cry for the right reasons
Also the student part. School is horrible.
And I love lucario!!!

Oooh, I see, I get your point. Well, yea, I guess sometimes it's ok to cry a lot. Sometimes a lot happens for a long time, and it kind of gets inevitable. Maybe it is just what you said, we gotta cry for the right reasons.

Well, I know, right? XD But it'll end! Hold on, I promise it'll end! Not very quickly or without pain, but as everything in life, it comes to an end XD
