Looks like a wonderful trip!Is the water truly that blue? Were you there during the wildfires? Did it damage any of the historical buildings?

Thanks Becca for the comments and it was a truly wonderful trip The color of the ocean is a very deep blue…
From memory, the color of the water is something like this photo:[link]

About the fire…
It was three days after the first fires stated when I arrived there. The location of the fires occurred in the Peloponnese peninsula, which is the southern part of Greece, and my friend’s wedding was in the Thessaloniki, which is north from Athens, so I didn’t know about it when I arrived there until my friend told me. What I heard from my Greek friends was different story…it was not a wildfire but arsons…
There were many fires occurring at the same time and they were set by some people and some of them were arrested. 1,000,000 euro was arranged for the people who informed the information about arsonists. I don’t know the details but according to my Greek friends, there was a conflict between two different races there and one race started the fires to kill the other race. The entire country was in a mourning mood. The fire came close to the Archaeological site of Olympia, but it was okay.

BTW, this photo isn’t in Greece…I took it in Munich. I was there for a half day during transit to Greece
