It's an old fanfic of a friend of mine, so not canon with the books! But the puppies survive and get raised by other family members.

Aaaaw! This series was just ... aww. I just recently rewatched it and it certainly is the best animal series I've ever seen.

*seufz* Schrecklich trauriges und dramatisches Bild... da kommen einem die TrΓ€nen.
Der entsetzte, verzweifelte und verlorene Blick des Fuchses sticht in diesem Bild speziell hervor... in seinen Augen steht die gesamte Liebe, die Zuneigung, und ebenso unendliche Angst und Verlorenheit. Wirklich wunderbar gezeichnet!
Auch den Hintergrund hast du auΓerordentlich gut hinbekommen, sehr detailreich, wenngleich noch etwas zu verwischt.
