I actually liked the moody coloring. It does pass a great amount of the depression embedded into the first movie onto the observer.

I'm just not good with paint, a pencil on the other handd, I don't want to brag, but my sketches are super bad ass, if I can get a decent picture of them. My scanner hasn't worked since summer. I should really get that fixed. Haha, most of my references are DVD covers, I'm so bad ass!

I understand. I remember I used to hate paints. I still do, to an extent, and refuse to work with acrylics and oil paints. Watercolors are the only paints I can stand xD I'm so biased. That's great! Pencil work is beautiful, and it's such a fun medium! The fact you don't need like a thousand super expensive items like pallets and brushes and special paper or very specific colors is just a bonus! xD I started out using the covers to the DVDs myself. Afterwards I decided I wanted to try different poses and expressions and began collecting screenshots. I have some of my favorites on Photobucket, but sometime I should get to uploading the rest there just in case. I remember when my scanner broke down. I went through my longest art hiatus ever and it was torture x___X I couldn't imagine not having a scanner.

I make do with camera, It's not the same, but at least it does something. I just found out My computer has 32 viruses and I can't do crap alll on it. How can you have that many viruses? I've been stealing my sisters, and my few friends laptops, I can't be internetless. It's not in my nature! Sometimes, I do just draw characters while I'm watching a movie, it's hard when you hate pausing it, but it's fun! I should start drawing the GS charaters more, I've only done it once, but I want to do it in more of a cartoon style. It's more fun.

Yeah, it's a bit harder to get it right with a camera, what with the lighting and all. If it works it works though :> Holy shit, wow. I can't understand how that happens xD I mean damn! Yeah, I love just sitting down and sketching them while watching the movies. It's funner that way, I think. I have some screenshots printed out though, so I don't have to pause too often. You should! The more love for the series the better <3 I want to be able to improve my anatomy so I can do a sort of lineup of the more important characters from each film in my style. It's one of my goals xD

Great goal. I'm pretty bad with anatomy. That's why I don't really draw people, or at least their faces. Oh well, practice makes perfect right? I love drawing hands, I used to suck, but I've been drawing them like nonstop the past week, and turning them into like werewolf transformation hands. I love drawing the anatomy of hands, I'm not all that great at it, but it's fun!

^^ Oh believe me I was absolutely awful with human anatomy about three months ago. After I started drawing realistic portraits of Brigitte and Ginger my anatomy (mostly with the facial area) improved a lot. It really does help to reference from real life. The only downside is that I've been neglecting my animal anatomy so I haven't been drawing animals lately. I should get back to it. Hands and I have a love-hate relationship xD I often fuck up the anatomy of hands, especially realistic hands. This is why most of realistic portraits involving hands tend to take longer to finish xD

Hands are like the easiest for me now, I have trouble believing someone who's awesome at face anatomy, can't do hand anatomy. Once you start to get it they're super fun! I used to only draw animals, but I don't know, when you draw it so much it just gets boring. So I slowed down with the whole animal thing, but your so talented, you can draw and paint anything, so go for it!

Hah! My hands come out badly when I have no reference, but when I do they come out decently. I have to redraw them at least a dozen times though. Yeeaaah, I started getting bored with drawing just animals. It's fun all, but drawing humans is funner. You tend to be able to know right away an animal's basic emotions like anger or calmness or happiness but humans can be so much subtler sometimes. Plus now I can draw fanart for human characters x] Aw, thanks! ^^ I'm going to start out with realism again, I think, before going back to my style...hmm. *ponders*

I don't think there are very many people who can draw good hands off the bat, I have to draw mine like four times normally, it's the thumbs that really get me. Why are thumbs so damn hard!?!? haha, well you deserved it, your art is stunning!

That's a good point. Hands can be difficult sometimes. My biggest problems are getting the joints in the fingers to look right, and to keep them from looking like rubber :U Thanks again! I really appreciate it <3
