To tell the truth I dont even bother watching the trailer! haha XD For real! I still didnt see it! XD
Ghost in the shell movie by Mamoru Oshii is perfect in every detail so I dont see why they are making it live action.
The same goes to Kenji Kamiyama GITS : Stand alone complex. Perfect in every detail. I didnt watch Arise and the new animated movie but its for sure perfect.
And first was of course The best cyberpunk thing ever created - Ghost in the shell manga by Masamune Shirow!!!
So... yeah. That live action just dont exist for me.

hm well you never know until you watch it. i would say you should watch it if nothing else than to see more of a property you love. and if it sucks then OK but at least you can say you tried. iv seen the original movie. and its great but not perfect. the show was awesome as well but im not going to let my love of the movie and show keep me from seeing something that could possibly bring anime even more into the lime light. so please give the trailer a watch.

Everyone have their own opinion. You say its not perfect. For me its one of the most important movies ever created. For me its perfect.
And there never will be a live action movie that will do something better than anime version which was first.

yea and i agree that its probably not going to be as good. theres just so much you can do in animation that live action just cant replicate. motion is one of the big ones as well as expression. and while it will not be as good as the OG movie.... its got scar jo in it, and like 90% of men and like 30% of women. i think shes freaking hot so ill see anything with her in it

but in live action there are many things that can look strange,stupid or awkward. Especially when they try so hard to make a movie based on a games or anime. For example. You watched live action Street Fighter movie? With Van Damme etcΒ OMG! That was catastrophe!!!!

well they have done video game movies right. like the mini series super cut Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. that was a great example of how to do a video game movie. i think action anime are the hardest to make into live action. but anime like usagi drop(adorable anime) which is slower paced would be fine to remake.Β

There also can be problem that american dudes are making those movies.
There are a lot news saying new movie based on anime made by Japanese just released. And those movies are for sure great. They look the same like characters in manga/anime so no one can really complain about they look.
Thats true. Turning action anime into live action is kinda not possible. Dragon Ball is impossible to made!
I watched DB live action and it was sooooo LAME!!!! I think that was last live action I watched based on anime.
And from that time I think I will never watch any more!

well actually if done right i think they could do a great dbz movie. the hardest part is the blur of punches that is common to the show. they might have to slow down the action to just fast martial arts. but i would actually be kind of ok with just super impressive fighting. like in the matrix only with guys with bigger muscles. so the Rock or Vin Diesel being able to go Neo
