From left to right: Van, Keiran, and Serafina. 
Hehe, they're supposed to be posing for a semi-panned picture, but then I imagined someone said something funny, and it kinda threw the picture off a little. (And I apologize for Keiran's fingers...

Heya! I happen to be the writer for Serafina. Katie told us she managed to snag this a while back, and might I say that this is simply amazing! I love it SO much! These characters mean a lot to us and having such a perfect portrait of them is so moving. Keep up the GREAT work!

Still Serafina. Pinky promise. I just wanted to express my gratitude more personally with a little snippet surrounding this "photo". I hope you enjoy.

"C'mon guys, we're in Vegas. We have to get a photo!" Keiran urged, tugging at Van's and Serafina's wrists as she backed herself toward the fountain.
"Don't you think photo evidence is a bad idea, considering our wanted status?" Serafina inquired, half-heartedly resisting, but ultimately stumbling forward at Keiran's insistence.
"Uh, duh," Keiran rolled her eyes, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," she stated as if it were the most obvious fact in the world. Van couldn't help but grin, earning him a sideways death glance from Serafina as she translated the visual equivalent of "don't you dare encourage her". Despite all protests, the three found themselves beside the lip of the fountain, gushing water in magnificent arcs above them.
Van, realizing this was happening whether he wanted it to or not, suggested with a teasing smile, "So, I suppose we oughta make like an AT&T commercial and raise the bar." He comfortably rested his arm upon the top of Keiran's head, straightening his posture to emphasize his towering height as he peered down at Keiran, eyes twinkling in mirth. With the twitch of a grin playing at the corner of Serafina's lips, he figured he had redeemed some kudo points.
"Hardy-har-har," Keiran rolled her eyes for a second time, shrugging herself free from Van's weight before pulling her two companions to either side of her. "I mean it," her voice lowered as she looked first up at Van, then to Serafina, drawing the two of them closer by the shoulder. "Kids our age are hanging out, enjoying vacation, or I don't know, playing pranks on the principal one last time before graduation. You can bet they have albums of shenanigans." Her eyes gleamed almost wistfully. "All I want is one photo. Of us. Together, happy. Before we have to face the big bad, y'know?"
All at once, the faces of the trio grew solemn as their thoughts retreated to the imminent threat they were willingly barreling toward. And yet, all at once, tentative, hopeful smiles revived the color in each of them as they looked from the ground to one another.
"Well, if we're going to do this, we have to get my good side," Van crowed, puffing his chest out and turning inward towards a giggling Keiran as his arm overlapped hers. Serafina, still looking on at Keiran with quiet wonderment -- moved by the youngest girl's words, yielded and snaked her arm about Keiran's shoulder as well.
And it was in that moment that the confused tourist snapped a photo of the rag-tag trio -- a trophy of happiness and perserverence to contest the dark days to come.
