On August 7th, 2014, at a Barnes & Noble book signing for Martin Olson 's book The Adventure Time Encyclopaedia , Olivia Olson confirmed that Marceline and Princess Bubblegum had dated; which can explain their rivalry and why they had trouble getting along with the other in the past. Since the show airs in some countries where same-sex relationships are illegal, Marceline and Princess Bubblegum's relationship cannot be depicted on the TV series. Olivia stated that their relationship may be mentioned in the upcoming book, but had no further statements regarding the two.

that Marcy was that sacrifice a long Time ago when they broke up cuz she had to choose between ruling the candy kingdom or being with Marcy and she chose the candy kingdom that's why they fight but luckily in new episodes there past feelings are coming back
like the episodes in season 5
-red starved when Marcy sucked the pink out of PB
-sky witch spent like 2 days together and PB did sniff the Shirt Marcy have her and she does wear it as pJs. I cryed when she gave up the shirt of Marcy to hey hambo back
-time sandwich cuz in that all Bubblune fans knew what was going on when PB called Marcy yeah you know what I'm talking about
