Once an excited youth, Albert seems to have mellowed out quite early in life and carries themself with a tired expression at all times.

Despite their devil may care appearence, Albert has been and always was a superb worker and takes great pride in their district. They believe there is a romance in the way one handles a blade and has a quiet respect for skilled fighters of every sort. Theres a secret fire in this kid and they have no time for anyone with a lackadaisy approach to life.

History
Albert grew up in a small country town. Mother was a simple seamstress and their father was a metal worker that crafted weapons.
He always spoke of how his job was an art, and that perhaps Albert could one day succeed him and take over the business. Unfortunately, although Albert did appreciate the hard work and passion behind their fathers skill, they were a wild child that sought after a life of adventure. An escape from the sleepy, everyday life in a village too far from everything.
Or at least they did. An unexpected work fire led to an early grave for their father. It was a sobering experience for Albert and although they had no interest in crafting, they felt a nostalgic draw to the items he had left behind. A sense of peace from setting a strict routine for themself and taking up a multitude of odd jobs in order to help them and their mother get by. Practicing in secret with a various knives their father left behind was their only hobby and joy.
They were 22 years old when Alberts mother insisted they enlist. Not only would the paycheck come in handy, but it was the only way she could think of giving Albert something else. She didn't want them to be feel obligated to stay with her forever and felt like somewhere deep down Albert might still be that child looking for a bigger purpose.
