Description It's not a screenshot, but I had to put it here if I wanted it to be shown as my desktop.
This, is the actual desktop, where the magic happens (sometimes).
So what can we see?
Well, the monitor (which I think is 17 inches), on the Windows 'Welcome' screen. Happiness. My name is the one that's highlighted, it says 'Omi-kun' - and yeah, I'm not too bothered that 'kun' is a male suffix. ^^
Either side of that, the speakers, made by Tiny, they're okay, well, much better than some I've had in that past. These never play up and are damn easy to use. So that makes me happy.
In front of the left speaker is a card reader, I think. I know the camera memory card goes in it, that's for sure.
On the left - the scanner!! It says CanoScan D1250 U2 on it. It's a Canon one. I think it was a pretty cheap one, but it's certainly not a bad one - it scans well, I'd say.
On the right, is the actual computer thing whatever (I know jack about computer stuff). Haven't really got much to say about it... it's a Dell Dimension 8300, it's pretty bad really, it only lasted a couple of years before the hard disk had to be replaced... gheyness.
On top of it, if the cradle for my PDA - it's an O2 XDAII, and I love it to bits <3 I use it mainly as a camera and filming device at the moment though, cause I haven't really needed to use the organiser
Above the monitor is the webcam, a sweet little Logitech one, works well enough. Takes all the photos of me for my Myspace xD
The keyboard is a Dell. It's good. But not as good as the keyboard I had at my mum's house - I spilt coke on it, panicked, unplugged it, hid it, turned it upside down, left it for a few hours, came back, plugged it back in, and it worked. It's actually quite a long story, but thats the basics. My mum didn't even notice.
In the bottom right is the printer, it's an Epson Stylus Photo 830. It plays up all the time. It's horrible. The only times its worked nicely is when I've hit it or kicked it (quite hard), but my dad gets worried when I do that. So most of the time I put up with crap printing.
I like our mouse, I can't put up with anything but a wireless mouse now, they're so good! The only time I get pissed about it is when I have to change the batteries. Gah.

So, that's pretty much a guided tour of my desktop... nothing much else to say.
Ciao!

I NEED SPECS! (Why is it that most people only know about their harddrives?)

Mein is:
256MB Nvidia Geforce 6200 AGP (can run most of the newer games at low or medium)
1.3ghz AMD Athlon Socket 462aka "the crapcessor or the crap-o-matic or bob for short."
768MB PC133 RAM (Oldlies!)
tiny 19GB haddrive IDE (NEED JOB.. FAST!!)
I'm not even sure what the motherboard is. It's old, so it doesn't really matter.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60GHz 2593 MHz
511MB RAM
...or something...
153GB harddrive, I think. We have an external hard drive as well, but that's only 50 or 60GB though.

Now who can tell that I'm desperately trying to sound as if I know what I'm talking about?

External harddrives tend to be worse than internal ones because they have less RPMs! (Harddrives have uber disks inside them that they write files onto.) You know those flash drives? They have those discs too! That's why they vibrate when you plug them in.

Processors allow the computer to know what the hell is going on!

We only bought an external harddrive because we feared that the computer would bugger up again and we'd lose all our stuff... so it's basically just to store the files we wouldn't want to lose.

Resource access memory! It determines how fast your computer loads stuff!
