I am still trying to figure out Photoshop for color, this is my second attempt.Hope people like it.
A sketch of Captain Jack Harkness from Torchwood/Doctor Who.
He's one of my most favorite characters in the entire series but I always feel a little bad for him. I got this image in my head of him waking up after an incident and just laying there wishing he hadn't.
mostly in my head this is set after CoE. but since I know not everyone's seen it I won't go into specifics because I know how much I hate spoilers ^^.
Depressing idea again, but I was listening to Gorecki once more so not a lot of happy ideas to that song.
Anyway, I was going to try and color parts of this and then decided I liked the sketched look much more. I tried to get his hair, face, and hand all properly shaded and I may do more but for now this is what I've got.
I wanted to play around with perspectives and though this is a little off I was fairly happy with how it turned out. I still need a lot of practice though.
Anyone who knows me is pretty much aware of my recent obsession with Torchwood and Doctor Who and I apologize. I've probably been rather annoying lately but I just love both series'!

well the 'don't let me wake' bit was the actual title, color was just 'cause this is the colored version of it. I was trying to convey someone who nearly died and wants death but inevitably wakes up again. So when they nearly died they'd be thinking 'don't let me wake up' kinda? yeah I don't know if that makes any more sense. If you're familiar with Torchwood at all I think it's a little clearer.

*sniff* After Children of Earth, I can see this happening (Jack was prone to emo depression moments as it was). Very emotional, and I like the sketchy, pale look as well. It fits the mood.

This is really great! I like the sketched look a lot, and the hair is perfect. Poor Jack, though...

lol it's rather tricky isn't it? The hand in this is technically too small but oh well. Thanks for the feedback! It's nice to know I'm getting a bit better.
