Description Officially known as "The Serene State under the One God" the Arapten Empire was a vast country that ruled over much of the known world. The Lokks of Einesraum remember their rule through tinted glasses, and Arapts are believed by most to be vicious animals with an endless lust for power and war. The Arapten people too remember the Serene State in a certain, specific light. They remember a vast multicultural empire, in which all civilised people were free, and the uncivilised barbarians were taught the error of their ways. The truth of the Serene State is subjective; what you saw depended on where and who you were, and everyone saw the Serene State differently.

There have been several attempts by the remaining Arapten states in the world to revive the empire, and unite the Arapten people once again. All attempts have failed. Some where doomed from the beginning; those that sought to rule the new Serene State had too little support, or too shaky a claim to the title, whereas other attempts were stopped in their tracks by hordes of crusading Lokks out to get their revenge on the subhuman Arapten beasts.

The Lokks remember the Arapten's sin, whilst the Arapten remember their virtue, and when two views clash on so fundamental a level, rarely does it not lead to war.

The above flag was that used by the Emirate of Rakhiye ("Rakh" being the Arapten word for "Lokk"), a subdivision of the Serene State. The flag of the Serene State itself was merely a black square, which is present on this flag. The sun and stars are a symbol of the House of Imahd; a powerful family of nobles under the Serene State who were tasked with ruling and civilising the Lokks. The red represents blood and barbarism, whilst the white represents purity, truth, faith, unity, and the One God. The chequered pattern represents conflict between these two ideals, and symbolises the Arapten quest to unite the world under their rule, their religion, and their state.
