Another steampunk machine. After a bunch of flying models i decided it's time to stood firmly on the ground and I made a tank. It looked so ridiculous that I decided to make it a part of some exotic army. Due to roundness and general impracticality of the tank it became part of the army of Austro-Hungarian monarchy aka K.u.K army. I think it would fit The Good Soldier Švejk. Since some of armies call their tanks as a tribute to great generals (like "Sherman") this one will be named after Graf Radetzky, so here it is "K.u.K. Radetzky mark I"The work on the model was extra smooth and easy and I really enjoyed it, and im really happy with the result.
As always modeled in C4D (post production in photoshop and InDesign)

However Austrian wepaon design in World War One was quite practical. It was the leadership (or lack thereof) that caused so many useless deaths. Austria even had the first concept for a tank with a treversable turret: The Byrstin Motorgeschütz (Byrstin Motorized Gun). The linked article is in German so use Google Translate. It was never adopted because the Austrian staff was too traditional and refused it.

Edit: I still enjoy the concept. I am just beefed by the fact many presume Austrian weapons to be inferior due to the results of WW 1 when what hindered us was the outdated way Franz Josef II and his generals and ministers thought.
