Well if Hasbro/Takara can do it, well dammit - so can I!Here is the Optimus Prime model with Magnus repaint.
Obviously he is only 'Magnus' here and not his usual 'Ultra Magnus' version... That will come later.

might i ask, where do you find your references for your transformers 3ds?
also, do you use gundam base models for reference of the parts? please don't be offended by my comment, i actually find it awesome and inspiring. i might try to do transformers sometime. i only hope i get enough references for them.

Well I use E.J Su's designs from IDW's Transformers series - Also I'm about to start on some Nick Roche designs. I've noticed that E.J Su has a lot of Gundam design elements in his designs - I like his style because it is functional and stylish at the same time.
If I don't have all the angles I need for a design - I make it up in a logical way - a way that'd be logical.
Also when doing a model - I will first find all the pics I need and draw the pieces I will model, all at different angles and see how they work - then I start to model the bits!!!

I sure do draw them, helps with the whole process - plus i like drawing.
Some of my models transform - some don't depend on what i'm going to do with them.

Movie design?!?!!? Don't get me started... The only cool ones where Bumblebee, Jazz, Barricade and Blackout - cause they more or less resembled G1 design asthetics. G1 is NOT too old!
